Bermuda triangle: Mystery or Just a Human Error
Mysterious disappearance of Flight 19:
So, by now many people have heard about the Bermuda triangle. We’ve heard different stories regarding it, one such story is related to flight 19 which included a group of 5 aircrafts. This flight flew over the Bermuda triangle on December 5th, 1945, and mysteriously disappeared. While flying over the Bermuda triangle it was reported by the captain in charge that the compass had stopped working and due to which the flight headed over open sea and away from the land. It took a total of 4 hours for the aircrafts to vanish in thin air. A rescue plane was sent to search in the darkening sky and 20 minutes later at around 7:47 pm the rescue plane also disappeared. There was no sign of them, and nothing was heard. This incident has been a talk of the town for quite a while now and there have been many theories.

If you had no idea what the Bermuda triangle actually is and have never heard of it. Let me tell you what its history is and why is it called Bermuda Triangle. Although the areas surrounding the Bermuda triangle are not universally agreed upon, but it roughly takes a shape of a triangle. There are around 50 ships and 20 airplanes that are believed to have suddenly disappeared here without any sign.
THEORIES:
Ever since these disappearances started to happen many theories have surfaced as to why no one is able to cross the Bermuda triangle without disappearing.
• Aliens
It is evident that people like to talk about aliens and like to relate any and every mishap that happen in the world with alien invasion. Having no other explanation some people do believe that aliens can be behind these disappearance and Bermuda triangle is kind of a hideout for them. No matter how unbelieving it sounds it is believed by most of the people. Will we ever find out if its true or just another myth? Someday…. We might get all our answers but until than its fun to think about the possible reasons behind these disappearances.

• Magnetic forces cause the compass to malfunction:
Some theorists believe that Bermuda triangle is situated where the magnetic north and the true north are completely aligned (called agonic line). This is the reason why the compasses in planes and ships malfunctions rendering it difficult for pilots and ship captains to find the correct route. This theory was said to be not true as in the 18th century scientist came out and said that these lines tend to shift each year and are no longer near the Bermuda triangle.

What is the Truth?
There are never ending theories about the Bermuda triangle, however there is an Australian scientist Karl Kruszelnicki that these disappearances have nothing do with aliens or rogue waves. He said that there is no mystery behind this and that it is all a mixture of human error, bad weather and high concentration of ships in the area.
The daily mail says: “From sub-sea pyramids to hexagonal clouds and alien bases, scientists and conspiracy theorist alike have drummed up every imaginable scenario over the years to explain the mysterious disappearances in the Bermuda Triangle.”
